An AmLaw 50 Firm

Streamlining execution through a hybrid, tech-enabled creative model

The story

One of the nation’s top 50 law firms, operating in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, needed more than incremental improvement from its creative and marketing support function. The firm demanded a step-change: A model capable of producing high-quality creative work at scale, without the bottlenecks that were quietly slowing the business down. Williams Lea answered the call.

The challenge

The existing support structure wasn’t built for the demands being placed on it. Three critical gaps were holding the firm back:

  • Coverage constraints: A fixed 8.5-hour shift (9:00 AM–5:30 PM ET) left regions underserved, and deadline extensions had become a recurring reality
  • Limited creative capability: The model was largely production-focused, with minimal access to specialized skills like motion graphics and video, capabilities increasingly essential to the firm’s marketing efforts
  • Inability to absorb demand spikes: Without a flexible, scalable structure, high-volume periods overwhelmed the team, creating quality and delivery risks

The solution and results

Williams Lea deployed a scalable hybrid delivery model built around a core team (Creative Director, Project Coordinator, Designers, Production Artists, and a Presentation Specialist), backed by on-demand specialists across US and offshore locations to extend coverage and add depth.

Execution was streamlined through a structured, tech-enabled workflow for intake management, SLA-driven delivery timelines, defined approval paths, and QA checkpoints at every stage. A phased rollout (pilot, ramp-up, and steady state) ensured a fast, stable go-live and positioned the team to operate as a seamless extension of the firm’s own.

Key outcomes include:

  • Zero negative feedback — a perfect satisfaction record across all delivered work
  • 42 video and motion graphics projects completed, totaling 560 production hours
  • 77%+ first-time-right rate — the majority of projects required only a single version, reflecting both quality and alignment
  • Demand spikes absorbed effectively, with utilization reaching 120% for video and 80% for presentation design without sacrificing delivery standards

By replacing a rigid, capacity-constrained model with one built for agility and scale, Williams Lea delivered exactly what the firm needed: The right quality, at the right speed, at the right cost.
